It's playoff time, and Hermon had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Mount Desert Island Trojans 2-1 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hawks have posted against the Trojans since June 10, 2022.

The win made it two in a row for Hermon and bumps their season record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Mount Desert Island, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-9 record.

Looking ahead, Hermon will challenge Old Town at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Coyotes will roll in looking for their 14th straight win, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. Mount Desert Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
