Baseball Recap: Macon Picks Up Ninth Consecutive Victory

Macon waltzed into their game on Tuesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against Canton as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for Macon, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Macon let Ryder Lewis and Skyler Anderson run wild. Lewis went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Anderson went 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Anderson a new career-high. Hagan Ritter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Macon pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Canton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Looking ahead, Macon will welcome Fulton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Canton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
