After a string of five wins, Richland's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Frisco Raccoons, falling 3-0.

Richland took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-22.

Reese Mahar paced Richland's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mahar got some help from Reagan Oliver and her 15 assists. Mahar was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Savannah Christian was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs. Savannah Watkins also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Frisco, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.

Richland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against South Grand Prairie on the 29th. As for Frisco, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Byron Nelson on the 29th.
