Sterling took a 45-point defeat the last time they faced off against Ball, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Rangers pulled ahead with a 21-20 photo finish over the Tornadoes on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Rangers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Although Ball took the loss, they still got scores from Corieon Sanders, Jayvian Joseph, and Rodney Tipps.

Sterling's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Ball, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3.

Sterling didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 23-14 victory against Barbers Hill on the 2nd. As for Ball, they have also already played their next game, a 48-0 defeat against Port Arthur Memorial on the 3rd.
