Ida B. Wells entered their tilt with Jefferson on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Democrats with a sharp 16-4 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-1 on Wednesday.

Grae Wilson looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cody Roletto, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Cam Hammer was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

Ida B. Wells lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Ida B. Wells pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
