Football Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Fairley Bulldogs and fell 56-0. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 139th).

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fairley, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Hillcrest and Fairley will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Vikings see the field they'll take on Sheffield at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th. As for Fairley, their break will end when they face Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
