Softball Recap: Line Mountain Takes a Loss

Line Mountain was the 15-11 winner over Selinsgrove when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seals on Friday.

Madylinn Grindstaff was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Koera Leitzel was another key player, going 1-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Line Mountain has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Selinsgrove, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Line Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-5 defeat against Upper Dauphin Area on the 11th. As for Selinsgrove, they have also already played their next match, a 13-3 win against Greenwood on the 14th.
