Basketball Recap: Kylan Collins' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bolton over Dyersburg

Bolton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They fell 71-63 to the Dyersburg Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 58-53 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Bolton lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kylan Collins, who shot 71% from the field en route to 25 points. Collins is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Rahsad MacLin was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Bolton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-17. As for Dyersburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.

Bolton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dyersburg, they will host Crockett County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
