Basketball Game Preview: Cummings Cavaliers vs. Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles

The Cummings Cavaliers and the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Thursday, Cummings lost to T.W. Andrews at home by a 71-57 margin.

Meanwhile, Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Winston Salem Christian an easy 70-48 win. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Lions are ranked 31st).

Cummings will have to contain Kaden Patterson as he made an impact in Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's last game. He posted 20 points and five steals. Patterson's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Caulk, who earned six points and five steals.

Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Cummings, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
