Volleyball Recap: Haines City's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Haines City came into Thursday's match having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Lake Region Thunder 3-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Haines City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Arielle Moore led the charge by getting 18 digs and two aces. Those 18 digs gave Moore a new career-high. Mariah Williams was another key player, getting ten digs and seven assists.

The victory got Haines City back to even at 8-8. As for Lake Region, they dropped their record down to 2-24 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Haines City will square off against Ridge Community at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lake Region, they will face off against Auburndale at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
