Volleyball Recap: Bree Garcia and Jozlin Rodriguez Secure Win for Mcallen Memorial

McAllen Memorial won the last time they faced Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Mustangs blew past the Wolverines 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant McAllen Memorial was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-15, 25-11.

Leading McAllen Memorial to victory were Jozlin Rodriguez and Bree Garcia. Rodriguez had 15 assists and six digs, while Garcia had three digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Garcia a new career-high in assists (ten). Sophia Vega also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

McAllen Memorial's victory bumped their record up to 30-8. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
