Basketball Game Preview: Metro Academy Mavericks vs. Bishop Miege Stags

The Metro Academy Mavericks will head out to challenge the Bishop Miege Stags at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Metro Academy has given up an average of 54.9 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Metro Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Kauffman on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Mavericks came up short against Kauffman, falling 67-41.

Meanwhile, Bishop Miege strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They rang in the new year with a 54-44 victory over Saint Thomas Aquinas. Those 54 points were actually the fewest the Stags have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Metro Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Bishop Miege, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
