Preview: Woodstock Blue Streaks vs. Kennedy Crusaders
The Woodstock Blue Streaks are on the road again on Wednesday and play against the Kennedy Crusaders at 10:30 a.m. on December 27th. Hopefully Woodstock is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Kennedy in Illinois (Woodstock is ranked 279th, while Kennedy is ranked 594th).
Last Wednesday, Woodstock didn't have too much trouble with Genoa-Kingston on the road as they won 58-41.
Meanwhile, Kennedy beat Little Village 48-41 on Thursday. The victory was just what Kennedy needed coming off of a 75-38 defeat in their prior matchup.
Kennedy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Vincent Carrero, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Patryk Baliczek, who scored ten points.
Woodstock pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Kennedy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
