Baseball Recap: Morton Ranch Comes Up Short

Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Paetow Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 on Friday.

Morton Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Paetow, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-12-1.

Morton Ranch and Paetow could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Mavericks will challenge Tompkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (1092 vs. 178). Meanwhile, Paetow (ranked 723rd) will meet Cinco Ranch (ranked 276th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
