Softball Recap: Bangor Gets the Win

While Bangor's victory against Hartford wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Indians 4-3 on Monday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Isabelle Horvath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Bangor let Alexis Wisniewski and Emily Wisniewski run wild. Alexis went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Emily went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Emily has posted since back in May of 2025.

Bangor's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Hartford, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.
