Recap: Ferndale Wildcats vs. Arcata Tigers
If The Ferndale Wildcats were feeling good off their 34-0 takedown of the McKinleyville Panthers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Ferndale took a hard 34-20 fall against Arcata on Saturday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ferndale in their matchups with Arcata: they've now lost six in a row.
Leading Arcata to victory were Dayquan Dunn and Luke Lemke. Dunn picked up 97 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Lemke rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Ferndale's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Arcata, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.
Ferndale will head out on the road to face off against Hoopa Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hoopa Valley and Ferndale are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Arcata does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
