Baseball Recap: Woodlake Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Woodlake's offense. They came up short against the South Spartans on Wednesday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Tigers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Woodlake's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for South, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Woodlake will challenge Summit Charter Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South, they will take on Mira Monte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed eight runs per game on average), something the Spartans will no doubt try to take advantage of.
