Basketball Preview: Grace Christian Warriors vs. United Christian Academy Crusaders
The Grace Christian Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the United Christian Academy Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Grace Christian's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while the Crusaders have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Grace Christian blew the Bears out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturdaythe Bears got their revenge. Grace Christian fell just short of the Bears by a score of 58-55. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Meanwhile, United Christian Academy took a serious blow against the Lions on Thursday, falling 62-35. While losing is never fun, United Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Lions are ranked 161st).
Grace Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for United Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
Everything came up roses for Grace Christian against the Crusaders in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the team secured a 67-36 win. Does Grace Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crusaders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
