Football Recap: Copper Hills Grizzlies vs. Westlake Thunder
Copper Hills lost against Westlake back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Grizzlies took a 35-21 bruising from the Thunder. The matchup was a 14-14 toss-up at halftime, but the Grizzlies couldn't quite close it out.

Copper Hills lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan Batt, who rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also picked up 41 receiving yards and one TD. Copper Hills also got a significant boost from Tija Tate, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 134 yards.
A big part of Westlake's victory came down to the chemistry between BOSTEN FOUNTAINE and his top target MALIK SIKA. FOUNTAINE threw for 291 yards and four TDs while SIKA picked up 100 receiving yards and three scores. FOUNTAINE's passing game has become a key predictor of Westlake's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise. DYLAN BLAKEY helped FOUNTAINE out on the ground, rushing for 94 yards.
Copper Hills is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4. As for Westlake, their record is now 5-2.
