Basketball Recap: WISH Academy Piles Up the Points Against Lakeview Charter

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but WISH Academy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They breezed past the Lakeview Charter Lions to the tune of 66-28. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Noah Tureaud, who posted 13 points in addition to seven steals and five boards. Those seven steals gave him a new career-high. Enoch Tessema was another key player, putting up 11 points and four steals.

WISH Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

WISH Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. Lakeview Charter's loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Looking ahead, WISH Academy will head out on the road to square off against Panorama at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. WISH Academy is facing Panorama at the right time seeing as Panorama is stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Lakeview Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
