Baseball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

Urbana was the 8-6 winner over London when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hillclimbers took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Raiders on Monday.

Urbana saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Wilheim, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Wilheim has got this season.

Urbana has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for London, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, London will welcome Bishop Hartley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Urbana will be paying especially close attention to the Red Raiders' contest: after the Red Raiders face off against the Hawks, they'll take on Urbana again at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
