Soccer Game Preview: Dickinson vs. Deer Park

The Dickinson Gators are taking a road trip to face off against the Deer Park Deer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dickinson's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Dickinson fell victim to Clear Falls and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 597th, while the Knights are ranked 218th).

Meanwhile, Deer Park also failed to score in their most recent game. They fell just short of Clear Springs by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Deer haven't been shut out since back in January.

Deer Park's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Dickinson, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-16.

Dickinson might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Deer Park in their previous matchup back in February. Can Dickinson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
