Softball Game Preview: Seventy-First Falcons vs. South View Tigers

Seventy-First is 0-10 against South View since April of 2017 but things could change on Friday. Seventy-First will be playing in front of their home fans against South View at 6:00 p.m. Seventy-First has given up an average of 15.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Seventy-First is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 34 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Purnell Swett on Wednesday. They lost 22-1 to the Rams.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for South View's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Scotland on Wednesday. It was the first time this season that the Tigers let down their fans at home.

JORDYNN PARNELL spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

South View's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Seventy-First, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
