Baseball Recap: Whittier Comes Up Short

Whittier lost to Santa Fe on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chiefs. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Whittier's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Santa Fe, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9.

Looking ahead, Whittier will head out to face off against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Santa Fe, they have already played their next contest, a 12-7 loss against Walnut on the 4th.
