Fishburne Military is 9-1 against Eastern Mennonite since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Caissons will venture away from home to take on the Flames at 4:30 p.m. Fishburne Military has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fishburne Military lost 18-4 to Virginia Episcopal School on Monday. The Caissons haven't had much luck with the Bishops recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Michael Mazzetti made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double was his first of the season.

Meanwhile, Eastern Mennonite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against The Covenant, falling 28-4.

Eastern Mennonite saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Hurst, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Fishburne Military's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Eastern Mennonite, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-9.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Fishburne Military has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Eastern Mennonite struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Everything went Fishburne Military's way against Eastern Mennonite in their previous matchup last Tuesday, as Fishburne Military made off with an 11-4 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Caissons since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
