Basketball Recap: Point Arena Beats Potter Valley for Their Tenth Straight Victory

Point Arena extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Fernando Lopez. The Point Arena Pirates really took it to the Potter Valley Bearcats for the full four quarters, racking up an 84-17 win thanks in part to Lopez, who shot 6-for-10 from deep and dropped a double-double with 32 points and 13 rebounds. His evening made it 11 games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points.

Tosh Mouton was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 13 boards. He has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 13 times he's played.

Point Arena pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48.8 points. As for Potter Valley, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-17.

As of now, neither Point Arena nor Potter Valley have any future games scheduled.
