Softball Recap: Pewitt Falls to Big Sandy in First Game of Season

Pewitt had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They lost 16-6 to the Big Sandy Wildcats on Thursday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 14 in a row.

Ryleigh Denmon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Eryn Latham, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory made it two in a row for Big Sandy and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Coming up, Pewitt will face off against Maud at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Big Sandy, they will challenge Frankston at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st.
