The home team had won the previous three meetings between Des Moines and Maxwell, and Des Moines kept the tradition alive. The Demons were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bears on Thursday. The Demons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bears, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Des Moines was: they took every set by at least 14 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-6.

Des Moines has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Maxwell, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
