Volleyball Recap: Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest Takes a Loss

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Sharyland Rattlers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Rattlers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in September.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-16, 25-18.

Sharyland found their leader in freshman Jazlyn Castano, who had three digs and two aces. Castano is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 16 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest's loss dropped their record down to 0-23. As for Sharyland, they pushed their record up to 20-14 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest has already played their next contest (against Rowe), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sharyland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pioneer on the 14th.
