Baseball Game Preview: Dixon Dukes & Duchesses vs. Jefferson J-Hawks

The Dixon Dukes & Duchesses will face off against the Jefferson J-Hawks at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

After dropping their season opener at home, Jefferson is headed out to face a Dukes & Duchesses squad ready to give their home crowd a win. Dixon lost 15-1 to DeKalb on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Dukes & Duchesses have suffered since May 7, 2024.

Dixon saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brady Feit, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Jefferson's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Woodstock on Wednesday.

Dixon took their victory against Jefferson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-3. Will Dixon repeat their success, or does Jefferson has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
