Volleyball Recap: Hagerstown Beats Northeastern for Their Eighth Straight Win

Hagerstown waltzed into their contest on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Northeastern Knights. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:three sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 26-24, 29-27, 25-27, 23-25, 15-11.

Hagerstown was led to victory by Harper Fisher and Elly Cheeseman. Fisher had 12 digs, while Cheeseman had 13 digs and ten kills. That's the most digs Fisher has posted since back in August.

Hagerstown's record is now 16-8. As for Northeastern, their defeat ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.

Hagerstown has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Centerville on the 4th. Hopefully Northeastern paid attention to the Tigers' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
