Basketball Recap: Presley Brinkley Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

Creekside won the last time they faced Bartram Trail and things went their way on Friday too. The Creekside Knights managed a 57-52 victory over the Bartram Trail Bears. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Creekside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Presley Brinkley led the charge by going 5 for 12 en route to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Rolander, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points and six steals.

Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Esabella Brenneman, who posted 14 points and five rebounds. Brenneman is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Eden Tippins also deserves some recognition as she pulled down her first boards of the season.

Creekside has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Bartram Trail, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Creekside will welcome Bishop Kenny at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bishop Kenny is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season. As for Bartram Trail, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Palatka at 7:30 p.m.
