Skyline suffers tenth straight loss at home

The Skyline Spartans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight defeat. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 47-46 to Newport - Bellevue. Skyline was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Newport - Bellevue found their leader in underclassman Megan Roberts, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Portia Polo, who dropped a double-double on ten rebounds and ten assists.

Skyline's loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Newport - Bellevue, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Skyline won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Newport - Bellevue does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
