It was a good run, but Wake Christian Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Cary Christian Knights by a score of 4-3. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 4-3 to the Knights when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Jeffrey Newsome made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Wake Christian Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for Cary Christian, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

While Wake Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
