Softball Recap: Westview Wolverines vs. Ramona Bulldogs        
        
		
            
 Westview entered their tilt with Ramona with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They skirted past the Ramona Bulldogs  7-6. This was payback for Westview, who suffered  an  8-4  defeat the last time these two teams met.
  Kyra Olsen tossed a big game,   pitching seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits (she also didn't allow any  walks). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate,  Reese Marier was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Aleya Colon, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-4.
 On Ramona's side,  Heather Sabin and  Taeya Kitchen did some serious damage despite the final result:  Sabin  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3, while  Kitchen  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 Westview's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Ramona, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost four of their last five matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westview will take on Eastlake at 3:30  p.m.  on Monday. The pair have allowed few  runs on average, (Eastlake: 3.3, Westview: 2.7) so any  runs scored will be well earned. As for Ramona, they will look to defend their home field  on Thursday against Escondido at 3:30  p.m.
