Football Recap: McDowell Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McDowell can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Page Pirates and fell 68-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Pirates are ranked 94th).

Danny Charles Brown threw for 102 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Jay'Ron Moore was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards.

Page's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jabari Johnson led the charge by rushing for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries. Those 122 rushing yards gave Johnson a new career-high. Zamari Williamson was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one TD.

McDowell's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6. As for Page, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

McDowell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Page, they will take on Independence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last four matchups.
