Football Recap: McDowell Titans vs. Page Pirates
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McDowell can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Page Pirates and fell 68-0. While losing is never fun, the Titans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Pirates are ranked 94th).
Danny Charles Brown threw for 102 yards on 11 of 21 attempts. Jay'Ron Moore was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards.
Page's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jabari Johnson led the charge by rushing for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.
