Basketball Recap: Leland Takes a Loss

Leland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 59-43 to the Independence 76ers. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the 76ers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Leland's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Independence, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Leland will take on Piedmont Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Piedmont Hills will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Leland surely won't give up without a fight. Independence has already played their next match (against Silver Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
