Recap: Kim/Branson Mustangs vs. Primero Bulldogs

The Kim/Branson Mustangs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 29-20 win over Primero. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kim/Branson also won the last time the pair played last Wednesday.

Ysabel Gonzalez was a one-man wrecking crew for Kim/Branson as she scored 12 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Gonzalez has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kennedy Cranson, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals.

Kim/Branson pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories, didn't necessarily come from the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.7 points per game. As for Primero, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kim/Branson will play host again and welcome Granada, where tip off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kim/Branson's defense has only allowed 29.6 points per game this season, so Granada's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Primero, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Antonito at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
