Volleyball Recap: Raymore-Peculiar Takes Down Ranked St. Teresa's Academy

Raymore-Peculiar faced St. Teresa's Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Stars. The Panthers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Stars, so the Panthers were just returning the favor.

Raymore-Peculiar never let St. Teresa's Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-23.

Despite the loss, St. Teresa's Academy still got an impressive performance from Naomi Randall, who had 21 assists and six digs. Randall is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Raymore-Peculiar has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for St. Teresa's Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-12.

Coming up, Raymore-Peculiar will head out on the road to take on Blue Springs South at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for St. Teresa's Academy, they will square off against St. James Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
