Softball Recap: Harriman Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Harriman's offense. They came up short against the Wartburg Central Bulldogs on Friday, falling 10-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 last Friday.

Harriman's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Wartburg Central, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harriman will take on Greenback at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cherokees have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Wartburg Central, they will square off against Oliver Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.86 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
