Basketball Recap: Fairborn Comes Up Short

Fairborn lost against Tippecanoe back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fairborn Skyhawks took a 58-39 bruising from the Tippecanoe Red Devils. While losing is never fun, the Skyhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 691st, while the Red Devils are ranked 168th).

Fairborn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Tippecanoe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairborn has already played their next game (against Greenville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Tippecanoe will take on Piqua at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Piqua: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while Tippecanoe has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road.
