Basketball Recap: Riverview Bible Baptist Christian Takes a Loss

Riverview Bible Baptist Christian came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss back in December of 2024. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Aurora Christian Academy Arrows by a score of 46-43 on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Arrows recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Aurora Christian Academy was led to victory by Braeden Raeper and Rowen Haynes. Raeper dropped a double-double on 12 points and 21 boards, while Haynes posted 16 points. Those 21 rebounds gave Raeper a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Sweeney, who put up six points and four steals.

Riverview Bible Baptist Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Aurora Christian Academy, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

Riverview Bible Baptist Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Aurora Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Aurora Christian Academy, they will square off against Pleasant Hope at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
