Volleyball Recap: Cypress Christian Find Success

After losing to Edna the last time they met, Cypress Christian decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Cowboys 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Cypress Christian who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 28-30, 25-16.

Cypress Christian had a senior duo take command as RAQUEL HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ had 15 digs and two assists and LILAH JOHNSON had three digs and two aces. Those 15 digs set a new season-high mark for HERNANDEZ-RODRIGUEZ.

Cypress Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Edna, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Cypress Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Lexington on the 15th. As for Edna, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against El Campo on the 15th.
