Volleyball Recap: Elizabeth Seton Comes Up Short

Elizabeth Seton came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Bullis Bulldogs. The defeat continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost five in a row.

While Elizabeth Seton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19, 25-13.

Their offense was headlined by Addison Kelly and Madison Chapman, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Morgan Battle and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bullis to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackie Leach, who had 11 digs. That's the most digs Leach has posted over her last six matchups.

Elizabeth Seton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Bullis, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-12-1.

Elizabeth Seton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Bishop McNamara on the 15th. As for Bullis, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Non Varsity Opponent on the 16th.
