Baseball Recap: West Boca Raton Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

West Boca Raton won against Boca Raton last Wednesday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Bulls beat the Dade Christian Warriors by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 9-3. Considering the Bulls have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

West Boca Raton got a great performance from Gavin Russell as he pitched six innings while giving up three earned runs off nine hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Max McDougall, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Gabriel Goncalves also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

West Boca Raton lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory (which was West Boca Raton's third in a row) raised their record to 13-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Dade Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Coming up, West Boca Raton will host Olympic Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bulls' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Dade Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge King's Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
