Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Memphis Home Education Association). They strolled past the Bolton Wildcats with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 96-78. Given Memphis Home Education Association's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Bolton is ranked 195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Caleb Thomas, who posted 30 points. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Mathis, who had 18 points.

Bolton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jaden Betts, who scored 28 points and seven assists. E'Darian Washington was another key player, going 7 of 9 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Memphis Home Education Association's win bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Bolton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-9.

Memphis Home Education Association has already played their next game, a 61-59 victory against Rivercrest on the 18th. As for Bolton, they will face off against Fayette Ware at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bolton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 19 matches -- so hopefully Fayette Ware likes a good challenge.
