Soccer Game Preview: True North Classical Academy vs. Somerset Academy South Homestead

The True North Classical Academy Titans will challenge the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in True North Classical Academy's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Somerset Academy South Homestead has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

True North Classical Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Palmetto on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Considering the last time the Titans couldn't score was back in November of 2024, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, Somerset Academy South Homestead kept a clean sheet against Archbishop Carroll on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 8-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Hurricanes, who have now won eight matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Archbishop Carroll from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Sage Woods led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Somerset Academy South Homestead's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for True North Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

True North Classical Academy took their win against Somerset Academy South Homestead when the teams last played back in December of 2021 by a conclusive 7-0.
