Volleyball Game Preview: Circleville Tigers vs. Gallia Academy Blue Devils + How To Watch

Circleville is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Gallia Academy is on a 12-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Tigers will welcome the Blue Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Wednesday. Circleville was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Waverly.

While Circleville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-15, 25-23.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Gallia Academy rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They skirted past the Braves 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Blue Devils have posted since September 8th.

Gallia Academy found their leader in sophomore Chloe Bennett, who had 21 digs and two assists. Bennett has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last 22 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jacey McWhorter, who had five digs and three aces.

Circleville's win bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Gallia Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 24-0.

Circleville skirted past Gallia Academy 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2021. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
