Softball Recap: Nanakuli Takes a Loss

Nanakuli was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-6 to the Wai'anae Seariders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seariders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 back in March.

Jhanz Kaawa-Kawai was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Keani Naehu, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Nanakuli's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Wai'anae, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

As of now, neither Nanakuli nor the Seariders have any future games scheduled.
