Football Game Preview: Maynard Tigers vs. Oakmont Regional Spartans

Maynard is preparing for their first league matchup of the season on Friday. They will challenge the Oakmont Regional Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Maynard's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Maynard managed to slip by Nashoba Regional the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 28-7 to the Wolves on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Oakmont Regional was able to grind out a solid victory over Narragansett Regional last Friday, taking the game 42-35. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Maynard's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oakmont Regional, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Maynard and Oakmont Regional were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but Maynard came up empty-handed after a 15-14 loss. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
